Protect civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference

Safety, regularity and efficiency of the international civil aviation and its facilities and services are compromised by an ever-increasing variety of criminal acts. The security of air transport is defined therefore as a combination of measures, equipment and human resources in order to prevent acts of unlawful interference.

Civil aviation technical service (STAC) participates in the actions of the Directorate General of civil aviation for implementing security programs. Therefore STAC is assigned :

The STAC has these two test centres (Bonneuil-sur-Marne and Biscarrosse) to conduct assessments of performance of detection equipment. With these test centres, the STAC participates in common evaluation process of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC).
