Technical Guidance
The purpose of this manual is to describe the good practices and maintenance procedures that should be implemented on all aerodromes electrical power and lighting installations.
By guaranteeing adequate availability and reliability of equipments, compliance with the indications contained in this document should ensure a sufficient level of safety for the aircraft operating on the platform while protecting the agents in charge of maintenance against electrical risks.
Intended for maintenance teams working on behalf of airport operators and agents of the civil aviation supervisory authority, it describes, among other things :
- The training of agents who have to work on energy and lighting equipment on aerodromes;
- The procedures and periodicities of interventions;
- The mandatory regulatory checks of electrical installations;
- The performance levels to be reached by means of qualitative objectives (maintaining the initial characteristics of the equipment) and quantitative objectives (percentage of lighting in service).
