Wildlife hazard analysis

This study aims, through data analysis performed, to estimate the importance of the birdstrike risks in France over the years and especially on civil aerodromes where 80 % of the collisions are recorded.

It includes :

• a national assessment showing the evolutionary trend of birdstrike risk according to weather, allowing to position France with regard to the other European States;
• a more detailed study on aerodromes showing the efforts done by the airport managers and the improvements to be performed to reach an acceptable level of risk ;
• a first approach of the collisions with mammals, to extend the fight to the animal risk.
