STAC is organizing exchange days on the theme of ‘Airports and Biodiversity’.
The first took place on Thursday 12 October 2017 at the DGAC headquarters in Paris. This conference brought together more than one hundred people from various fields of activity (airport managers, nature protection associations, government departments...) and with diverse issues and challenges. Link to the conference: Airports and Biodiversity
On an annual basis since 2023, the meetings are organized by the DGAC, Aéro Biodiversité and UAF&FA, and take place at the DGAC headquarters in Paris.
These meetings provided an opportunity to discuss about the creation of a network of biodiversity referents within the DSAC/IR, the publication of the STAC grass management guide and the UAF&FA zero-phyto guide, seed harvesting on airport meadows, emerging issues (carbon capture, photovoltaics, etc.), ecological continuity (green, blue and black corridors), wetland management, etc.
