In 2019, the French Civil Aviation Technical Center (STAC) has initiated the development of a new tool used for the elaboration of the legal constraints linked to the OLS of an aerodrome. In France, these constraints are called Plan de Servitudes Aéronautiques, or PSA. Named APPSA3D, this tool has continuously evolved to become indispensable within French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC). It is used for oversighting airport and heliport platforms. APPSA3D offers numerous functionalities: - Quick visualization in 3D of all OLS of an aerodrome. - Computation of the penetration of these surfaces by pre-inserted obstacles. Providing clear visualization of all OLS and their impacts, APPSA3D aims to facilitate the management of obstacles around an aerodrome for operators, local authorities and developer/proponent. APPSA3D can be downloaded directly from this web page. To be more user-friendly, APPSA3D is accompanied by a set of quick reference guides dedicated to functionalities applicable to airport runways and heliports. Due to constant regulatories changes, users are advised to regularly check this page to ensure they have the latest updated version. For any questions or remarks regarding the use of APPSA3D, please contact the tool developers directly via the Contact section (Objet : "Aménagement et sécurité des aérodromes"). Note: To use the APPSA3D tool, you must have Microsoft Excel (2016 version or later) and activate macros. When the file is downloaded from an external source, Microsoft Excel may issue a security warning, and you may need to enable macros upon first opening. This security warning related to macros is normal and does not compromise the computer's cybersecurity. Warning: APPSA3D is a decision support tool only. The results from this tool have no legal value and the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) shall not be responsible for any error or improper use of the tool. Current version: 14.2 |
